Social media creator, Sohini Ganguly, recently lost her newborn and is still mourning the death of her child. Unexpectedly, her personal tragedy became a topic for debate after a woman who claimed that she is Sohini’s sister-in-law accused the doctor of the death. Amid all the headlines and controversies, Sohini Ganguly has shared a post on her social media requesting privacy.
Sohini Ganguly says she will come back with testimonies and proof
On August 22, 2025, Sohini found out that her newly born child had no detectable heartbeat. Since then, it seems like Sohini’s world has stopped. But despite such a difficult period, some users online have been invading their private matter by making it a public topic for debate. While some people offered their support and blessings to the family, other users blamed the doctor. Amid that, Sohini broke her silence and shared a post on her Facebook account, in which she mentioned that all the social media debates and videos are only making the couple weak and she requested users to stop posting content related to them. She said:
“What’s going on across social media centered around the disaster that has come down in our lives on August 22, is a past of our imagination. We are devastated by different people’s imagination and discussions regarding that. Nanan videos, post, the doctor’s video and his comment section are making us both weak in this time of mourning. We will surely put the details of all the events happening with us, we will stand before you with testimonies, proofs.”
Doctor SN Das shares his side of the story
After the death of Sohini’s child, several people blamed the doctor for the death and accused him of negligence. Amid all the accusations, doctor Shivendranath Das has come forward and explained the entire incident. He shared that Sohini arrived on August 22, with very high blood pressure and no fetal heartbeat. He advised immediate hospital admission, where specialists confirmed that the baby was no longer alive. Later, after finding out about internal hemorrhage, he did a cesarean to save Sohini. In his statement, he denied negligence and said that the medical reports support his diagnosis. He even shared that the family later attacked him. He concluded his explanation by saying:
“Is it fair to speak like this without knowing the full story? Some are even claiming I killed their father, but I’m a gynaecologist. I’ve never treated a male patient in my entire career. I stayed silent out of respect for the mother. But with everything being said on social media and all that I’ve had to endure, I felt compelled to share my side of the story. I didn’t even charge a single penny for the surgery or the treatment.”
