In early 2020, Morgan Riddle met tennis star, Taylor Fritz on the dating app, Raya. The same year, the duo started dating. By 2021, Morgan had started accompanying him on his tours. By late 2021 and early 2022, Morgan Riddle started posting content related to tennis. She even left her corporate job to completely focus on content creation. In a 2023 interview with The New York Times, Morgan has mentioned that she did not know about tennis before dating Taylor. She did not have any friends, who watched tennis. She shared:
“I genuinely did not have any friends who were interested in tennis, I had no friends who watched tennis, I had no friends who played or wore cute tennis clothing.”

In February 2022, Morgan Riddle posted a TikTok video, which in time grabbed attention and sparked a wave of debate. In the TikTok video, Morgan explained the rules of tennis to her followers, but what grabbed attention was the caption of the video, which was:

After the video went viral, Morgan Riddle faced a lot of backlash. It increased to such a level that Taylor Fritz had to step in the matter to save his girl. While speaking to reporters after his third-round win at the BNP Paribas Open in 2022, Taylor opened up about the video and said:
“I think what she did was awesome for our sport. It got a ton of people looking at it. I think you get your typical older fan who may be upset about it. I don’t understand how anyone can get upset about it. I’m the one that’s a professional tennis player, I’m the one that does this for a living. I 100 percent agree with everything in that video.”
