Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja quashed divorce rumours by celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi together at their home. The couple, joined by their son Yashvardhan, wore coordinated outfits.
Sunita and Govinda looked cheerful as they welcomed Lord Ganesha into their residence. Their appearance together, with big smiles, seemed to put an end to any lingering doubts about a rift.

The rumours of a potential separation had been circulating for some time. It was fuelled by unverified reports of a divorce filing by Sunita at the Bandra Family Court last December. However, their recent public appearance suggests a different narrative. The family was also seen sharing sweets with the paparazzi gathered outside.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, their daughter, Tina Ahuja, dismissed the rumours. “It’s all rumours,” she stated, emphasising that such speculation holds no weight in their lives. She added, “I don’t pay attention to these rumours.”
Govinda’s manager also clarified the matter, calling it old news. He told PTI that, “This is the same old news which came out six-seven months ago. Sunita had filed a divorce petition six to seven months ago; now everything is getting settled.” This insight suggests that any legal proceedings are being resolved amicably, putting an end to the speculation.
The buzz around the couple’s marriage had intensified after Sunita shared an emotional vlog on her YouTube channel. Many interpreted it as a response to the rising divorce rumours.
Govinda was a powerhouse in the Hindi cinema industry during the 1990s and early 2000s. He has largely stayed out of the spotlight in recent years. His last film, ‘Rangeela Raja,’ was released in 2019 and did not perform well at the box office.
