Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s divorce rumours have been circulating since 2024. They left people in shock with their joint appearances and Sunita’s cryptic comments on Govinda and his actions. It seems like they were in an unhappy marriage. Recently, the buzz re-ignited after a report claimed that Sunita filed for divorce in December 2024, and has been attending the court dates, but Govinda is not appearing for the same. The duo dismissed the buzz with their joint Ganpati celebration. It was the first time that Govinda addressed the claims.
Govinda reacted to the buzz of his separation from Sunita Ahuja and whether he cheated on her
Amidst it, Govinda made his first media statement on the matter. With folded hands and humility in his heart on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, he shared that he has no worth and whatever he got is due to the Goddess’s blessings. He added that people will never see him insulting a woman or going against them. Govinda said:
“Mujhe ye sab jo bhi mila hai meri iski bhi aukaat nahi hai, maa ka jo ashirwad raha jo mil gya. Aap mujhe kabhi kisi stree ka virodh karte hue nahi dekhenge.”
Not only this, Govinda further added that no matter how much fame, money, stardom he gets, a man only has to do work, while his luck comes from his devi in the house. Sunita was standing right next to him and listened to her husband’s words. Govinda was quoted as saying:
“Chahe aapke paas kitne hi paise kyu nah aa jaye, chahe aapko kitna bada stardom hi kyu nah mil jaye, purush ko bhagwan ne karam diya hai parantu bhagya jo hai uski devi shree hi hoti hai.”
On the other hand, Sunita Ahuja also joked with the photographers that her husband is her only. She dismissed the buzz and said, “Mera pati sirf mera hai.” In an interview with ANI, Sunita Ahuja also pointed out that if something were wrong, they would end up together. She said:
“Aaj itna close, close… agar kuch hota toh hum itne nazdeek hotey?”
When Govinda’s daughter, Tina Ahuja, reacted to her parents’ divorce
Earlier, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Govinda’s daughter was questioned about her parents’ divorce buzz. She instantly replied that it is all fake and called them rumours. She also requested that the media not pay any attention to the separation buzz. Tina was quoted as saying:
“It’s all rumours.I don’t pay attention to these rumours.”
When she was further questioned about how her parents had been dealing with such news, she revealed that she could not say anything. She also added that her father is not in the country. Further, Tina mentioned that she is blessed to have a family, and is amused at people’s concern about her family’s well-being. She said:
“Kya bolun mein? He is not even in the country. I feel blessed to have a beautiful family and I am really grateful for all the concern, love and support we have been receiving from the media, fans, and loved ones.”
