Chaos erupted at a school in Bihar’s capital Patna after a girl student allegedly attempted to set herself on fire.
The incident at a school in Gardanibagh area caused a lot of commotion, and a large crowd gathered. The police showed up quickly, but the situation got out of control when one of the officers was attacked.
A video from the spot shows an angry mob gathered on the school premises. The video shows some of them breaking chairs, while one man can be seen attacking a cop.
The student, a minor, was rescued and rushed to PMCH (Patna Medical College and Hospital). The reason for her desperate act is currently under police investigation.
Following the incident, a large crowd gathered outside the school, which led the authorities to close the main gate to prevent any further disruption. A police officer who was part of the investigating team was then assaulted by the crowd in Patna.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
