Barbara Palvin showcased a dramatic black look complete with trendy slingback pumps on the red carpet at the 2025 Venice Film Festival for the premiere of “La Grazia” on Wednesday.

The model wore a glamorous bustier gown featuring slinky shoulder straps and an asymmetrical design with lace detailing and a thigh-high slit. The full-length number also included a long sheer train that trailed behind her as she walked the carpet.

As for shoes, she joined the plethora of celebrities embracing the slingback heel trend, opting for an embellished Betsey Johnson style. She wore the iconic brand’s Nikki, a pointed-toe silhouette boasting a see-through black mesh upper embroidered with intricate black beadwork.

The shoes, which retail for $129, are set on a lower flared heel measuring 3 inches tall and boast a V-cut vamp. They’re also available in white, navy blue and red on Betsey Johnson’s website. The Y2K brand just launched its fall 2025 campaign starring Christina Ricci on Monday.

Slingback pumps have been spotted on the feet of a variety of celebrities lately. Everyone from Katie Holmes to Jodie Turner-Smith and Chloe Fineman has shown off the timeless style, which rose to prominence in the 1950s. Just yesterday, Anne Hathaway was seen on the set of “The Devil Wears Prada 2” sporting Chanel’s signature two-toned slingback pumps.

Meanwhile, Amal Clooney arrived in Venice wearing a white version of Prada’s brushed leather slingbacks stamped with the brand’s trademark triangle logo. As for Michelle Williams, she slipped into Saint Laurent’s Dune slingback pumps in a glossy black patent leather finish for an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” last week. Last month, Princess Charlene wore a white kitten heel version, Gianvito Rossi’s Ascent 55, for the celebration of Prince Albert II of Monaco’s 20 years on the throne in Monaco.
