Diane Kruger opted for mod styling in a cocktail dress courtesy of Del Core’s spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection for the opening ceremony of the 18th Angoulême French-speaking film festival on Monday in Angoulême, France.
Kruger, who serves as the 2025 jury president for the film festival, opted for a 1960s-inspired dress with a contemporary design. The charcoal gray minidress featured a hemline above the actress’ knee with unique, structural straps and sphere appliqués serving as the connection between the straps and bodice of the garment.

The cocktail dress featured a rectangular shape, including pockets at either hip as part of the design. Kruger opted to pair the dress with pointed-toe kitten heels courtesy of Berlin-based brand Aeyde. As for further accessories, “The Shrouds” actress opted for gold statement stud earrings.
Kruger’s dress for the opening ceremony of the Angoulême Film Festival made its runway debut as part of Milan Fashion Week in September 2024, curated by the label’s founder Daniel Del Core.

The spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection’s “lightness of touch felt new for the designer, who layered transparent trenchcoats and long, hooded anoraks over sturdier jackets and shorts,” per Samantha Conti’s WWD review of the collection. “One green-tinged tailored suit was as sheer as an X-ray image, revealing cotton layers underneath.”
Although Daniel Del Core had plans to present a collection off-schedule at the Paris Couture shows in January 2025 and return to the city for appointments with clients as a way to build a stand-alone business out of his evening and occasion wear, neither initiative materialized, per WWD‘s July 2025 reporting.

Del Core’s stand-alone stores in New York and London continue to operate. Daniel Del Core founded his eponymous label in 2020, based out of Milan. Prior to creating his own label, Del Core worked for such fashion houses as Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana and Zuhair Murad, among others.
