Actor Parineeti Chopra and politician Raghav Chadha announced their pregnancy on social media on Monday. Their cute Instagram post was welcomed by their celebrity friends who cheered for the good news and sent best wishes their way. Leading the comments were Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti’s cousin, who’s a mother of one, and actor Katrina Kaif.

While Priyanka added a heart emoji and wrote “Congratulations”, Katrina simply shared three red heart emojis in the comments section. Fellow actor Ananya Panday also congratulated the couple and wrote, “Awww congratulations Pari (sic)”, adding cute emojis.

Sunil Grover, Neha Dhupia, Huma Qureshi, stylist Tanya Ghavri, Anupam Kher, Sonam Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and singer Kanika Kapoor, among others, were also lined up in the comments section of the post to send good health and love to the soon-to-be parents.

Earlier, while sharing the post on Instagram, Parineeti and Raghav made a joint announcement and dropped a video of them holding each other’s hands. The caption on their pregnancy announcement post read, “Our little universe on its way. Blessed beyond measure (sic).”

The couple got married in September 2023 at a lavish wedding in Udaipur. Their were joined by their family members, close friends and prominent names from politics and cinema during the wedding festivities.

Interestingly, Parineeti and Raghav hinted at their pregnancy during their recent appearance on ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’. When Sharma asked if their parents also keep asking them to plan a child soon, Raghav joked that they will soon reveal the “good news” to people.

The couple is expected to welcome their first child by the end of this year or early next year.
