NEW DELHI: An IndiGo flight from Dibrugarh to Guwahati carrying Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was diverted to Agartala on Sunday after bad weather prevented it from landing in Guwahati, the chief minister’s office (CMO) said.Earlier in the day, IndiGo issued a travel advisory highlighting the weather situation in Guwahati. “Persistent rainfall and thunderstorms are currently affecting Guwahati, impacting flight operations,” the airline said.It added, “Our teams are closely monitoring the situation to ensure your journey resumes as soon as conditions improve. If you’re travelling today, we recommend checking your flight status on our website or app before leaving for the airport.
