A massive fire at an automotive supply plant in rural Louisiana forced a mandatory evacuation Friday after an explosion rocked the facility, Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said.

“A mandatory evacuation has been issued following an explosion at a plant in Louisiana,” Miller told reporters, as thick black smoke and orange flames rose from Smitty’s Supply in Roseland.
