That’s one way to promote a new song.
Kenzie Ziegler shocked her TikTok followers by getting tan line “tattoos” in tandem with the release of her latest track, “Tan Lines.”
The “Dance Moms” star-turned-singer, 21, took to the social media platform Thursday to share a video montage showing her appearing to get the outlines from a day in the sun with a bikini top tattooed to her chest and clavicle.
The footage documented the process beginning with the moment Ziegler, who was wearing a black tube top, got “fitted,” if you will, for the ink.
She entrusted Los Angeles-based artist Christian Delacruz to create the realistic strap marks using tape to outline the tattoo area and cream-colored ink to mimic untanned skin.
The songstress smiled at the camera and then into a mirror as she held up a black bikini top atop the tape to ensure a proper fit.
The video then cut to Ziegler lying on a table as Delacruz appeared to use a real tattoo gun to make the creation.
She made sure to show off the finished product.
Internet users immediately flooded the comments section with reactions of disbelief and confusion.
“Kenzie, my precious angel, please tell me you’re joking,” one of many begged, as another wondered, “are you frl right now?”
“as long as u like it😭,” someone else wrote, while a fourth netizen asked, “Please tell me it’s not permanent.”
However, one person is convinced it’s “a prank,” with another theorizing that the “ink” is really just foundation.
Influencer Ana Stanskovsky went viral in June for appearing to pull off a near-identical move.
Reps for Ziegler and Delacruz did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
