It is worth mentioning that Conor Maynard has reportedly undergone a second DNA test after Charlotte Chilton, who is two years older than him, claimed that he is the father of her 18-month-old daughter, Penelope. An initial paternity test proves that the musician is not the father of Charlotte’s daughter. After this buzz, The Sun reported that Conor underwent a second test earlier this week, and the result again revealed that he wasn’t the father of her child.
According to the sources, Charlotte is extremely shocked, as she has been fighting the truth to come out for the past 18 months. She has been through a lot as a first-time single mother. The source revealed that Charlotte was shell-shocked by the news.
The source mentioned that Charlotte doesn’t want to trap Conor, and she is not behind his money. She just wanted her daughter to know her father and to have his name on the birth certificate. The source shared:
“It’s never been about the fact Conor is in the public eye or has money behind him. Charlotte had no intention of ‘trapping’ him. It’s always been about having Penny’s father’s name on the birth certificate. Her little girl deserves that. She’s reeling from the result and is now considering where she goes from here.”

When Conor broke his silence on claims that he was the father of Charlotte’s daughter
In March 2025, Conor talked about his challenging year and how he was embroiled in the controversy after Charlotte alleged that he was the father of her daughter. In an interview with This Morning, Conor revealed that he has been struggling with his mental health for a long time, and this further added to it. He added that it was difficult for him to stay silent while he was being painted as a ‘deadbeat dad’. He revealed:
“For the last year, things have been really difficult. Mental health is something I’ve struggled with my whole life, and this has been one of the most challenging periods. It was difficult to stay silent, especially when I was being painted as a deadbeat dad. The comments across my social media were all about that. Of course you want to defend yourself, but I didn’t feel it was right until I knew the truth.”
Conor revealed that he had all the idea about what the world was saying, but he didn’t know what to say in public. His only focus was to take a paternity test to get clarity, and said:
“I was aware of what was going on privately, but I had no idea it would become public. In my mind, the natural next step was to take a paternity test to get clarity and deal with it accordingly, but that’s not how it played out.”
In his personal life, Conor Maynard moved into a new home with his girlfriend, Kitty Bertrand.
