Who is Manika Vishwakarma? The winner of Miss Universe India 2025
Manika Vishwakarma hails from Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan. She currently resides in Delhi to focus on her studies alongside her passion in the demanding world of pegantry. Manika is a final-year student in college, and she has a major in Political Science and Economics. While she became Miss Universe India in 2025, it was last year, when she took her first step by winning Miss Universe Rajasthan, which marked her big break, as she rose to prominence after that.
Manika is so much more than just being a pretty face, given that she is not only a trained classical dancer, but also a gifted artist. For her work, Manika bagged recognition from Lalit Kala Akademi and JJ School of Arts. Apart from juggling her studies and a demanding professional world, Manika also works passionately to raise awareness about mental health and inclusivity. She has founded an initiative, Neuronova, through which awareness about conditions like ADHD gets raised.
The most unique fact about Manika’s initiative is that she not only raises concerns and awareness about such conditions but also tries to encourage society to include those who suffer from these conditions, thereby working for inclusivity by showing these health barriers not as limitations but as unique cognitive strengths. Manika has also represented India in an initiative by the External Affairs, BIMSTEC Sewocon.

For the final round of the Miss Universe India 2025, Manika was dressed in a black-toned sheer cut-out gown embellished with glitter and stars. She looked nothing less than an angel. As her winning moment was celebrated widely, she remained grounded and said that she would do her best for her next aim as she believes that with hard work, anything can be achieved. Moreover, she proved why she deserved to win the crown through her answer. Manika was asked to choose between two social causes if she had the option to advocate for one.
The social causes were women’s education and immediate economic aid for impoverished families. Manika used the metaphor of a coin, mentioning that just like the two sides of the coin, the choices she had been given are equally important. She chose to focus on educating women, as it benefits not just one person but future generations as well. Stating that she would like to advocate for something that will be for the long run, Manika said:
“If I have to, I would choose the option of women’s education. I would advocate for it because it would not just change the life of one person; it would change the entire strata of the future of this country, of this world. While both issues are important, it is about taking actions that can help in the long run.”
