Hero MotoCorp has launched the all-new Glamour X in India, positioned as a premium commuter motorcycle in the 125cc segment. The bike has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 89,999 for the Drum variant and Rs 99,999 for the Disc variant (ex-showroom Delhi). Hero is calling this bike “India’s most futuristic commuter,”

    Design

The Glamour X brings a fresh design language with a muscular profile, all-LED lighting and advanced features that make it stand out in its category. One of its biggest highlights is the introduction of three ride modes: Eco, Road and Power, a first in the segment, allowing riders to tailor their experience according to needs and riding conditions.

    Engine

Powering the motorcycle is Hero’s Sprint EBT engine, a 124.7cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke engine, delivering 11.4bhp at 8,250rpm and 10.5 Nm of torque at 6500rpm paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The engine comes with a balancer shaft and silent cam chain to reduce vibrations, while a newly tuned bass-heavy exhaust adds character. Hero claims the bike not only offers a peppier performance but also best-in-class fuel efficiency.

    Features

On the technology front, the Glamour X debuts Hero’s Aera Tech (Advanced Electronic Ride Assist) which brings in electronic throttle body with ride-by-wire technology. This is the only bike in its segment to get cruise control. In terms of other features, the bike gets panic brake alert and battery-less kick-start further elevate its appeal in the commuter segment.

The bike also gets a new multi-colour LCD instrument cluster with over 60 functions. This includes turn-by-turn navigation, call and message alerts, real-time mileage, distance-to-empty readouts, gear indicator, ride mode display and adaptive brightness, giving riders a fully connected and modern riding experience.

Hero has also worked on comfort, giving the Glamour X a 30mm wider handlebar, upright seating posture and forward-set footpegs to ensure ease during long commutes. To further enhance practicality, the company is offering a range of accessories including tank knee pads, knuckle guards, windscreen, backrest, hugger fender, engine guard and belly pan.

With its combination of style, technology, comfort and efficiency, the Hero Glamour X is set to raise the benchmark for 125cc motorcycles in India.
