Brian Kilmeade misspoke on Monday morning’s (August 18) episode of Fox and Friends during a segment about James Comey, which somehow led to him using a term for a particular sex act.
The Fox News political commentator was discussing the former FBI director’s recent video, where he confessed to being a Taylor Swift fan and used the opportunity to mock President Donald Trump. Kilmeade took issue with this and launched into a rant against Comey.
“So, meanwhile, if you talk about a guy that’s absolutely unhinged and lost his mind. He is 6-foot-7. He is James Comey,” Kilmeade said on Monday’s show before referencing an Instagram post Comey made back in May where he shared a photo of a shell formation that read “86 47.”
In slang, “86” means to “nix” something, or to discard it or “to get rid of someone,” which many applied to Comey’s post, accusing him of calling for Trump’s (the 47th President) assassination. Comey later deleted the post.
Kilmeade attacked Comey over this post and his recent video, saying, “This guy, who is walking on the beach and sees a mysterious configuration of rocks [and says] ‘Maybe it’s a natural phenomenon that say 69.’”
Co-host Ainsley Earhardt chimed in to correct Kilmeade, telling him the shell numbers read, “86-47.”
Kilmeade continued, “86, rather. 86-47. He sees these numbers…” He then broke into laughter, adding, “69? What was I thinking?”
Earhardt and Lawrence Jones also started laughing as Kilmeade tried to compose himself and move on with the segment.
“…86-47, causing a huge uproar and then he says for inspiration, even though multiple investigations have him going back to 2016 in cahoots with Hillary Clinton and company to cut the knees out of the first Trump administration, he has not stopped posting,” Kilmeade ranted.
“Well, he’s a Swiftie,” Jones added. “What guy does that?”
Kilmeade’s blunder didn’t go unnoticed, as one X user wrote, “lol 69. We know what’s on your mind Brian.”
“Brian @kilmeade had “69” on his mind,” said another with a shocked face emoji.
