TV actress, Debina Bonnerjee and her husband, Gurmeet Choudhary, got married in 2011, and in April 2022, they were blessed with Lianaa via IVF. An old interview of the actress went viral where she spoke up about having family pressure when her conception failed.
Debina Bonnerjee says she had family pressure during failed pregnancies, reveals Gurmeet Choudhary was fine with zero kids
An old interview of Debina went viral, where she was seen standing next to Gurmeet and opened up about how she went through multiple cycles of IVF and was not able to conceive. The actress shared that she had pressure from the family because her conception failed and revealed that it was because of the support of her husband, Gurmeet, that she could manage to sail through the criticisms because he told her that they were fine with no kids. Debina shared:
“Zindagi mei aisa hua tha you know I was going through multiple cycles of IVF and I was not able to conceive. Dheere dheere report neeche chala jara hai you know positive dikha ke bhi ulta chala jara hai. And I was like nai hua Guru. And I wanted to try again. Usne bola Debina zaroorat nai hai. Bacha humei define nai kar sakta. Ek bachei ke aane se hum better partner nai banenge. Tum mere saath hoh na mere liye yahi kafi hai. Mera immediate family se pressure tha ki kyu nai hora.”
Debina then shared that during such situations, if your husband is with you and motivates you during tough times, then life becomes easy. The actress shared that in her next cycle, she conceived naturally, which was also within a year, which was amazing for her. Debina, earlier in an interview with ETimes, shared that doctors had told her to go for an IUI (intrauterine insemination), which in itself was an invasive process. Earlier in an interview with the ETimes, she shared:
“The fertile days are calculated and according to it, doctors give a few injections. A semen analysis of the husband is also done. It did not work for me. I tried it 5 times. It was a failure.”
Debina then added that the next best option she knew was IVF. She understood that the cost of embryo transfer has been around Rs. 30,000, and it also depended on the hospital. She revealed having an IVF conception, but initially knowing about the process scared her. When people questioned her about why she wanted to do IVF, she did not want to think about what people thought. Debina then tried, and after 5 years, was blessed with Lianna.

Debina Bonerjee could not achieve pregnancy naturally
Debina and Gurmeet are parents now to two beautiful daughters, but their younger one was born before the due date. Earlier, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Debina shared that all her IVF attempts had majorly failed. She and Gurmeet opted for the same, as conceiving was practically impossible for her naturally. There were times when one of the tests showed positive, and then there were others that showed negative. She did not lose hope, however, and then had her miraculous kids.
