Prince Harry’s Sentebale charity makes major UK staff cuts after feud with ‘devastated’ royal: report

Sentebale is experiencing an alleged funding crisis following its feud with Prince Harry.

The charity, which the Duke of Sussex co-founded in 2006 and resigned from in March, has reportedly made major cuts to its United Kingdom workforce.

The organization has only one remaining London-based staff member, according to the London Times.

Four of the five individuals, including the global head of finance and compliance, were cut from the team due to an alleged funding crisis.

Despite Sentebale’s insistence that they have “steadfast” donations from two-thirds of its donors, the outlet claimed Friday to have seen an internal letter admitting the charity is in “retrenchment.”

A source claimed, “There have been a lot of redundancies, there’s been people who have been let go, a lot of churn and people have left.”

Sentebale confirmed that two dozen staffers have been axed since March.

The organization blamed difficulties raising money on the alleged “adverse media campaign” launched by “the duke and the former trustees.”

Sentebale doubled down to Page Six, claiming “the negative media campaign has indeed led to a fall-off in some individual donations resulting in the organization’s efforts being directed towards significant fundraising efforts to replace these funds and replenish reserves.

“Thanks to the work of the Board, and our team, in the last four months Sentebale has gained an equal — if not greater — number of new individual donors who are aligned with the work itself,” the statement continued.

Harry’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

When Harry and co-founder Prince Seeiso of Lesotho quit the charity, which helps young people affected by the HIV/AIDS crisis, the “heartbroken” pair released a statement.

They blamed an “untenable situation” between chairwoman Dr. Sophie Chandauka and the board of trustees that had “broken down beyond repair.”

Harry and Seeiso, 59, added, “Although we may no longer be patrons, we will always be its founders, and we will never forget what this charity is capable of achieving when it is in the right care.”

The former military pilot is reportedly “utterly devastated” by the alleged “hostile takeover” of the charity, Rebecca English, Royal Editor for the Daily Mail, wrote earlier this month.

She claimed there was “no way in hell” Harry “would ever work with Sentebale again” with Chandauka at the helm.

Additionally, Harry made headlines recently for his and wife Meghan Markle’s latest Netflix deal — a new first-look agreement that we hear is “much” lower than their last.

“It’s not much,” an insider revealed to us last week. “It’s no risk for Netflix but saves them both reputationally.”

The duo, who got married in 2018, has many projects in the works with the streaming platform.

Season 2 of “With Love, Meghan,” premieres Aug. 26, and the “Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within” documentary will air later this year.
