Naomi Watts and Liev Schrieber documented their respective emotional goodbyes to their son, Sasha Schreiber, as he heads off to college.
Watts, 56, took to her Instagram Stories Monday to share a photo of herself standing next to Sasha on a sidewalk, gripping his waist as she buried her head into his chest.
The 18-year-old’s luggage and duffle bags surrounded the mother-son duo as a small dog sat atop his pile of belongings.
Sasha looked straight at the camera, wrapping his arm around his mom’s shoulders and holding her tightly.
“Step #1,” the actress wrote atop the image. “Already [bawling] 😭😭😭.” She made sure to tag her teenager, who was wearing a white T-shirt, baggy blue jeans and a simple chain in the shot.
Watts, for her part, looked chic in an oversized beige blazer and a white collared shirt, which she paired with wide-leg blue jeans.
The “Mulholland Drive” star also uploaded a picture of Sasha hugging his 16-year-old sister, Kai Schreiber.
Sasha — who added a gray sweater and headphones to his outfit — looked sad in the snap, while Kai — who was dressed in a black tank top and white shorts — had her back to the camera for the sweet embrace.
Liev also took to Instagram to commemorate the milestone, admitting that he was “starting to feel the pull.”
The actor, 57, added, “Gonna miss my ride or die. Having said that, USC is gonna get one of the deepest, kindest, bravest and most beautiful boys I have ever known.”
Sasha — who graduated from Friends Seminary, a private high school in New York City, in June — is moving across the country to start his freshman year at the University of Southern California.
Liev and Watts broke up in September 2016 after 11 years together.
In 2023, Watts married Billy Crudup, while the “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” star wed Taylor Neisen, with whom he shares daughter Hazel, almost 2.
