The handheld fans waiting on seats proved unnecessary, but the clear umbrellas handed out prior proved necessary.

Kith‘s runway show, its first in six years, commenced Sunday evening after a 45-minute rain delay and brought a host of familiar faces to Lafayette Street directly in front of the label’s recently reopened New York City flagship. Dubbed “Institution,” the showcase previewed many of Kith‘s fall 2025 offerings and took advantage of New York City’s last day of blocking out cars for its Summer Streets.

Jim Jones walked the turf stage in a leather jacket from another link-up between the New York City brand and basketball team. So, too, did the Knicks’ most recent acquisition, Jordan Clarkson, and former New York Giants great Victor Cruz.

Famous friends of the brand were also scattered throughout the audience, including Carmelo Anthony, John Leguizamo, Fabolous, Westside Gunn and Smoke DZA, while Gashi and Jimi Banks performed for the latter part of the presentation.

The brand partnerships shown were likewise well-established, as shoes made with Adidas, Clarks and Birkenstock graced models’ feet after Ronnie Fieg teased them during the week prior. Along with the Knicks, the New York Yankees and Giants will also release new products with Kith in the forthcoming season.

Adidas held the heaviest presence, as it linked with Kith for six running shoes from the previous six decades, as well as five colorways forming a Superstar Black Tie 2.0 collection that revisits a concept introduced by Fieg for David Z. in 2008. The German footwear giant also reconvened with Clarks for a three-way partnership, as the Wallabee took on both Ultraboost and 4D 3D-printed midsoles, and a second iteration of Kith’s Adidas Soccer collection was shown as well.

With Birkenstock, Kith brought its braided up to Boston for the first time, and it stands out even more in one colorway than its appearance in London, with a colorful gradient on an otherwise white upper.

In-house, another revival comes with the reintroduction of Kith’s &Kin line, which upgrades staple items with more premium materials.

The entire affair was nearly called off, as Fieg revealed Monday morning in his Instagram story that Kith was just five minutes away from cancelling the show before the forecast became more favorable. Audience members proceeded to file in and fill the air space directly above the benches with umbrellas as light rain continued, offering dim prospects of views, before the fortunes continued to reverse with the precipitation stopping entirely.
