YouTuber and reality show star, Elvish Yadav, is one of the best-known social media stars in India today. However, his fame stems from both the positive and negative aspects of the internet, and the latter often lands him in controversies and online scrutiny. Nonetheless, this time what happened was beyond imaginable, the YouTuber’s residence was shot at by unidentified gunmen, leading to rising concern for his and his family’s safety.
Elvish Yadav reacts to the firing at his home
There is a lot a person can take. However, when it comes to his family’s safety, things can get extremely terrifying very quickly. The same happened when, on August 17, 2025, Elvish Yadav’s Gurugram home was shot at. According to reports, the incident happened around 5:30 am to 6 am, when three masked men arrived in front of his residence and opened fire at his house, and soon after, fled the scene. The police have lodged an investigation against the unidentified gunmen. Nonetheless, the fans are now concerned about their favourite YouTuber.
The system appears to be infected with a virus, as Elvish Yadav finds himself in a twisted situation. The terrifying incident has left the internet concerned, and the YouTuber has now issued a statement acknowledging the same. While he didn’t share much about what happened, he let his well-wishers know that he was okay and so was his family. For the unversed, over two dozen shots were discharged, though no one was injured. The YouTuber took to his Instagram handle on August 17, 2025 and shared an Instagram story which read:
“I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for your good wishes. My family and I are safe and well. Your kind thoughts and concern are truly appreciated. Thank You.”
Firing at YouTuber, Elvish Yadav’s Gurugram residence
Fortunately, Elvish Yadav was not present at his residence when the incident took place. According to reports, the gunmen aimed for the ground and first floor of the residence, while Elvish lives on the second and third floors. The targeting of the other floors has made it look like a warning shot for the YouTuber.
Himanshu Bhau’s gang has allegedly taken responsibility for the attack
For the unversed, the notorious Himanshu Bhau gang has taken responsibility for the attack via an alleged Instagram post. The gang accused the YouTuber of promoting gambling. It is important to note that there is no confirmation about what happened and if the post by the said Himanshu Bhau gang is authentic. However, the police are not taking the matter lightly. PRO of Gurugram Police, Sandeep Kumar, in a statement was quoted as saying:
“Three masked miscreants opened fire outside the residence of YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav in Gurugram’s Sector 57. The incident took place at around 5:30 AM. More than a dozen rounds were fired. Elvish Yadav was not at his residence at the time of the firing.”
Elvish Yadav’s father reacts to the attack
Elvish Yadav’s father reacted to the shocking incident on August 17, 2025. In a conversation with the media houses, he revealed that they have not received any threats. However, he also shared his concern about the safety of their family, as anything could have happened if any of them were out there. He was quoted as saying:
“So far, we haven’t received any kind of threat or phone call. I spoke to Elvish, and he said he is fine. There was definitely a threat to life — if we had been outside, anything could have happened.”
