Kannada film star Darshan Thoogudeepa’s wife, Vijayalakshmi, announced that she would manage his social media accounts in his absence. Darshan is currently in jail in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case. Vijayalakshmi assured fans that she would provide updates and handle promotions of his upcoming film, ‘The Devil’, until Darshan can reconnect with his audience directly.
Vijayalakshmi conveyed a message to the actor’s supporters, stating, “My Dear #DBoss Celebrities, your Challenging Star carries each one of you in his heart. Until he returns to connect with you directly, I will be handling his Social Media, to share updates and movie promotions on his behalf.”
In the post, she also said, “The love, prayers, and patience you continue to show give him and our family immense strength. Let’s hold on to that unity and positivity—he will be back soon, with the same love and energy you’ve always known. With gratitude and love, Vijayalakshmi Darshan.”
Darshan, known as the ‘Challenging Star’, was arrested following a Supreme Court decision to cancel his bail. The charges relate to the murder of Renukaswamy, reportedly after the victim sent inappropriate messages to Darshan’s associate, Pavithra Gowda. The incident has sparked significant nationwide attention.
Darshan completed the filming of his upcoming project ‘The Devil’ after receiving bail. The first single from the film, ‘Idre Nemdiyaag Irbek’, was scheduled to release on August 15 but has since been postponed following his arrest. However, through this message, it seems the makers plan to carry on with promotions of the film even in Darshan’s absence.
