In a tragic course of events, Miss Russia 2017 runner-up and Miss Universe 2017 contestant, Kseniya Alexandrova, lost her life in a bizarre car accident involving a Deer, specifically, an Elk. Apart from being a model and pageant queen, Kseniya had accomplished many feats in her life, which was unfortunately cut short. In remembrance of the departed soul, here’s a look at Kseniya’s life story and everything she had accomplished.
Kseniya Alexandrova wore many professional hats
Kseniya Alexandrova on November 12, 1994, in Moscow, Russia. She stepped into the world of modelling at the age of 19 and was represented by the Modus Vivendis agency. However, along with her modelling career, Kseniya was equally invested in academics and pursued a degree in Finance and Credit from the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. She graduated in the year 2016. And a year later, she went on to compete in Miss Russia 2017, where she held the title of first runner-up.
Kseniya went on to represent her country in Miss Universe 2017. She was not placed among the semifinalists, but made Russia proud nonetheless. The Miss Universe 2017 title was won by Demi-Leigh Tebow of South Africa. After this, Kseniya made further headway in her academics and completed her studies at the High School of Cinema and Television in 2020.
Kseniya’s accomplishments did not stop there. She pursued a degree in Psychology from Moscow Pedagogical State University. After graduating in 2022, she was a practising psychologist and psychodrama therapist.
Kseniya Alexandrova had gotten married four months before the tragic accident
Kseniya had tied the knot with her unnamed fiance on March 22, 2025. A look at the model’s Instagram page shows it to be mostly filled with photos from her wedding day. In the car accident that took her life, her husband was the one driving the car. Kseniya’s husband made it out of the accident and is in a stable condition now. In one of her wedding day photos, Kseniya had penned in the caption:
“I never thought that one event could sound inside for so long. I remember every second and it seems that I am still experiencing the whirlwind of emotions :). There was so much love, joy and sincere feelings on this day that the heart is still full of them. Thanks to everyone who was with us – it’s priceless!”
Details on the accident that took Kseniya Alexandrova’s life
On July 5, 2025, Kseniya and her husband were enroute to their home from Rzhev. As per reports, while the model was in the passenger seat, an Elk smashed through her side of the windshield. Kseniya sustained severe injuries to the head and was admitted to the intensive unit of Sklifosovsky Institute for Emergency Medicine. She was in a coma for a few months and breathed her last on August 12, 2025, as reported by Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
Kseniya’s husband revealed to the Russian outlet details of the bizzare accident. He said that the model lost conscious after the Elk made impact. He also revealed that other drivers helped him and medical services arrived shortly. Kseniya was also taken to the hospital immediately, however, sadly she was comatose and passed away at the age of 30. Talking about the accident, her husband shared:
“From the moment it (Elk) jumped out to the impact, a split second passed. I didn’t have time to do anything. Everything was covered in blood.”
It was Modus Vivendis, the modelling agency that represented Kseniya, that shared the news of her demise on August 13, 2025. The agency remembered her as bright and talented, and expressed their deepest condolences.The statement from the agency read:
“It is with great sadness that we inform you that our colleague and friend, model Kseniya Alexandrova, passed away yesterday evening. Kseniya was bright [and] talented. She knew how to inspire, support and give warmth to everyone who was around. For us, she will forever remain a symbol of beauty, kindness and inner strength. We sincerely mourn and express our deepest condolences to her family, friends and everyone who had the good fortune to know Kseniya.”
