The YRF Spy Universe film, War 2, is struggling to find momentum at the worldwide box office. After a sub-par opening of Rs. 80 crore globally, War 2 dropped to Rs. 75 crores on the second day, taking the total collections to Rs. 155 crores. The drop has come primarily due to the Telugu versions, whose collections have come down crashing on the second day.

There was little redemption for War 2 in Hindi, as the franchise value and Hrithik Roshan’s stardom managed to get in some audiences on Independence Day. However, the same didn’t happen in Telugu, where the negative word of mouth started to reflect on the holiday as well.

As compared to War 2, Coolie collected Rs. 90 crores on the second day, dropping from a record start of Rs. 151 crores. This happens usually for Tamil films, which are highly frontloaded. The two-day total of Coolie stands at Rs. 240 crores, and the film will be headed for an opening weekend around the Rs. 375 crore mark globally.

The reports of Coolie are also mixed, which means that it would not achieve all-time records.
