Moncler is connecting mountain life and city life with two new shoe options, including a fresh interpretation of the Trailgrip sneaker and an archive-inspired winter boot.
The Trailgrip Apex2 GTX is a luxury version of Moncler’s Trailgrip style presented with elevated materials, tonal colorways and what the brand refers to as “a sleeker silhouette.” Design elements include nubuck side panels, leather with a “caviar” texture and monotone metallic eyelets. Technical highlights include a Gore-Tex membrane, Ortholite insole, EVA midsole, carbon fiber footplate and Vibram Megagrip tread. An ongoing series by Moncler, the Trailgrip has also received a new interpretation recently, thanks to a collaboration with artist Tobe Nwigwe.

The Altive Mid, meanwhile, is a winter boot intended for life in the city with inspiration coming from the brand’s archival snow boot silhouettes. To enhance traction, the Altive Mid features a Vibram Megagrip sole with a chunky construction. Meanwhile, a padded nylon upper provides insulation while an adjustable puller lacing system enhances comfort and convenience. The tonal color palette includes neutral beige, pale rose, khaki and black colorways.

It was announced earlier this summer that the brand’s subline Moncler Grenoble will hold its fall 2026 show in Aspen. On the shoe front this year, the Italian luxury brand showcased a collaboration with Moon Boot on the runway for the fall 2025 Moncler Grenoble show. Moncler also hosted an experiential footwear space called Studio Ascenti, the third of its kind by Moncler, in Manhattan this year to present its fall 2025 collection. In other news from the brand, it recently collaborated with Donald Glover’s Gilga Farm on a collection including lightweight layers in a variety of colors.
