Mickey Mouse and his pals are bringing some Disney magic to another happiest place on earth.
The House of Mouse is teaming with La La Land Kind Café on a new Mickey & Friends-inspired kids menu at the positivity-focused chain. From Aug. 19 to Sept. 15, all 23 locations — including in Los Angeles on West 3rd Street, in Santa Monica on Montana Avenue and at Rick Caruso-owned shopping centers The Grove, the Americana, the Commons in Calabasas — will add five mini drinks and three mini food items to their family-friendly offerings. Kids can order up strawberry milk, strawberry lemonade, marshmallow milk, lavender milk and chocolate milk alongside hazelnut toast, AB & J toast and more.
The cafe will offer custom Mickey & Friends beverage sleeves and drink stoppers, “Be Kind” tote bags and a Just Play Disney Munchlings toy while supplies last. Furry family members are welcome, too: get a Pluto-inspired pup cup and a free pet bandana when you bring your four-pawed pals.
Select La La Land Kind Café locations will offer Disney merchandise shoppable via QR code in store, including in L.A. (on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica and 3rd Street in Beverly Grove) and in Texas (in Austin, Dallas, Houston and Plano). The colorful cafe chain is known for its Instagrammable matcha lattes, lavender-infused drinks, avocado toasts and more.
“We strive to find new and meaningful ways for Mickey & Friends to bring people together,” says Paul Gitter, Executive Vice President of Global Brand Commercialization at Disney Consumer Products, in a statement. “Whether it’s at a local coffee shop like La La Land or on a global stage at a Formula 1 race, our goal is to create moments that celebrate the spirit of connection and ensure Mickey & Friends remain a special part of our everyday lives.”
Adds La La Land Kind Café founder and CEO, Francois Reihani, “Teaming up with Disney’s Mickey & Friends feels like a dream come true. These are some of the most iconic and beloved characters, and they bring joy to people of all ages. It’s the greatest compliment when people compare us to the Disney experience and we love that we’re bringing people together through kindness and community.”
La La Land Kind Café has previously collaborated with Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty, Sydney Sweeney-approved Korean beauty brand Laneige, Jennifer Lopez’s J Lo Beauty, Shay Mitchell-founded travel accessories brand Béis, Lululemon, Nike and others on special drinks and menu items. The company has also partnered with countless films and TV series for FYC campaigns.
A Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, Reihani opened the coffee shop’s first location in 2019 in Dallas as part of his We Are One Project foundation (now called La La Land Foundation) that provided employment and support opportunities to foster youth and others in need.
