This past May, Airbnb relaunched its revamped app featuring one-of-a-kind Experiences and Services, like nerding out on anime with Megan Thee Stallion in her Otaku Hottie Quest, spending a glamour day with Sabrina Carpenter and throwing the pigskin around with the one-and-only Patrick Mahomes. Doubling down on these unique experiences, the travel brand has teamed up with Lollapalooza, as part of their first-ever global live music partnership, to bring a variety of onsite activations to Lollapalooza to help enhance guests music festival experience.
From July 31 to August 3, festival goers at Grant Park in Chicago were able to take part in a wide range of curated Experiences, from festival photography tutorials and makeup masterclasses with celebrity makeup artist, Jill Powell, to learning the art of DJ mixing with DJ Lady D, to an intimate styling session with Ann-Marie Hoang, a celebrated stylist known for working with artists like Rihanna, Beyoncé and Doja Cat.
At the on-site Airbnb Haven lounge, guests were also treated with a hair and makeup station, a shoe cleaning area, a bar, photo shoot opportunities and lounge seating upon entering. It’s a nice getaway and break from the liveliness of Lollapalooza as you wait for your Experience to start. For what Experience to choose, the styling session with Ann-Marie was a definite can’t miss opportunity to level up your festival attire. From fun, custom jewelry, exciting bag charms (including vintage tamagotchi’s), hats and other vibrant accessories, Hoang and Airbnb let your imagination run wild with a variety of stylish goodies. With the ability to customize most pieces, especially the jewelry, guests can tailor their look that’s unique and personal to them.

“Fans are traveling the world to see the artists they love, and festivals like Lollapalooza are leading that demand,” says Michael Rapino, CEO and president of Live Nation Entertainment, in a statement. “Partnering with Airbnb helps us make those trips even more memorable for fans, connecting them to the culture and community around the music that makes each festival unforgettable.”
Just because Lollapalooza is over, doesn’t mean fans still can’t experience a variety activities and services through Airbnb. If you’re visiting or live in Chicago, the travel brand offers plenty of activities and amenities throughout the city, including tours of Chi-town’s historic downtown architecture, pizza making and wine tasting classes, booking fresh haircuts with local barbers and even writing poetry in Jackson Park with hip-hop artist, Qari.
As always, there are plenty of great stays to browse through the Airbnb app. Guests can stay at beautifully designed homes to tranquil properties with breathtaking views, especially this stunning two-bedroom apartment in south loop that’s a block away from Grant Park. Make sure to book your stay for next year’s Lollapalooza.
