Among his many memorable characters, his portrayal of the quirky journalist Chand Nawab in Bajrangi Bhaijaan stood out for its humor and authenticity. The character was inspired by a real-life Pakistani reporter of the same name, whose viral video had become a sensation years before the film’s release.

In a recent podcast with Rohan Dua, while speaking about if he knew Chand Nawab while shooting for Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Nawazuddin said, “A few days before the scene, I was shown the Chand Nawab video. It was a funny clip, but it had a lot of lines, and the timing depended on people walking in front of the camera. So I practiced a lot. The scene was planned for the morning at a railway station we had hired somewhere in Rajasthan. Fortunately, I had memorized all the dialogues, and the timing of the people walking by was perfect. So we got it in one take. After that, everyone took the rest of the day off.”

The scene became one of the highlights of the film, capturing audiences with its simplicity and humor. Nawazuddin’s ability to deliver such a spontaneous moment with precision is a testament to his skill.

Apart from this, on the work front, Nawazuddin will be seen in Raat Akeli Hai 2 and Thama.
