‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 17’ has already captured the hearts of viewers. In a recent episode, 21-year-old contestant Kashish Singhal attempted the Rs 1 crore question. Unfortunately, she was unable to answer and chose to withdraw from the game.

Kashish Singhal secured Rs 50 lakh through her general knowledge skills. However, when faced with the question of Rs 1 crore, she found herself stuck.

The question was: “Which king of the Visigoths demanded pepper, which ancient Rome typically traded from India, as ransom to lift a siege on the city?”

The options were: A) Ludovic, B) Aymeric, C) Alaric, and D) Theodoric. Kashish had just one lifeline remaining.

She used the lifeline but remained uncertain of the answer. Ultimately, Singhal decided to quit the game, taking home Rs 50 lakh.

The correct answer was option C – Alaric. Kashish Singhal managed to win a respectable sum, which will help her repay the Rs 15 lakh loan her father took during a family crisis.

While impressing host Amitabh Bachchan, she also shared an emotional story that moved everyone to tears.

Regarding Kaun Banega Crorepati 17, this season promises to be extra fast-paced, with the 16th question offering a prize of Rs 7 crore.

On the upcoming Independence Day special episode, the show will welcome Col Sofiya Qureshi, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, and Commander Prerna Deosthalee. Col Sofiya and Wing Commander Vyomika were prominent figures during media briefings on Operation Sindoor. The operation was carried out in the early hours of May 7 this year to retaliate for the Pahalgam terror attack.

An understanding between India and Pakistan on May 10 brought an end to the four-day military conflict.

‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 17’ airs on Sony TV from Monday to Friday at 9 pm and is also available on the Sony Liv app.
