Vijay Varma is one of the most versatile and powerful actors working in Indian cinema today. Known for his intense screen presence and ability to portray complex characters, he first gained recognition with his breakout role as ‘Moeen’ in Gully Boy (2019), where he stood tall alongside industry heavyweights. Since then, he has consistently delivered compelling performances across genres, be it the chilling double role in Dahaad (2023), the red flag lover in Darlings (2022), or the sharp and stylish ‘Aakash Dogra’ in Murder Mubarak (2024).

He is an alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), and has built a career for himself on his own terms. Vijay Varma’s Juhu apartment just like him is far more than just a stylish Mumbai house. Perched on the 13th floor of a high-rise building, it reflects the actor’s introspective personality, artistic soul, and his deep love for tactile experiences. The place is designed by Bear Spaces & Co, and has a calming palette, natural textures, and is filled with personal mementoes. It is a space that nurtures both body and soul. So, let’s have a deeper look at Vijay’s house.

Vijay Varma’s house is a homebody’s dream sanctuary

For someone who is constantly surrounded by the noise and chaos of film sets, Vijay wanted a space that felt like a vacation without leaving his home. He claimed to be a home body and likes spending his time in his home. His Juhu apartment does just that; it’s designed for stillness, rest, and reflection. The layout subtly shifts from tight entryways to open living spaces, offering moments of pause and release. While sharing his vision for this place, Vijay could be quoted as saying:

“I like being at home when I’m not working and catching up with life. It’s my natural habitaI don’t really holiday much, so the house needs to feel like a holiday home.”

Vijay Varma’s house is designed to tell a story

Designers, Pria Kanakia and Disha Vakharia turned Vijay’s open and short brief into a warm, earthy home full of personality and charm. There was no strict design style that they followed; instead, the focus was on mood and comfort. Neutral colours, soft fabrics, and unique details like corduroy sofas, ceramic pieces, and aged wood were used and they brought the space to life. The designers could be quoted as saying:

“Vijay notices the little things—how things feel and look—so texture was key.”

Vijay Verma’s house has an entrance framed by personality

The home makes a quiet yet powerful first impression through its entrance. A cocooned foyer acts as a buffer between the outside world and the home’s inner calm. On one wall, a recreation of Jack Penny’s artwork, painted by Ritika Lalan. Vijay shared that he loved the piece as it was a reflection of him in various moods. On the other side, are his treasured sneaker collection, which began with a New Balance pair gifted to him by Anurag Kashyap. Now, they are proudly lined in the corridor of his new place.

Vijay Varma’s living room is the heart of the apartment

The heart of Vijay’s home is undoubtedly the living room. A soft, cloud-like corduroy couch from Josmo brings the whole space together. It is the perfect place for hours of reading, gaming, or casual get-togethers for Vijay and his guests. A sculpted white ash wood coffee table with detachable trays adds a playful touch to the place. Stone, textured veneer, and metallic details balance warmth with modernity. Talking about the living room, Vijay could be quoted as saying:

“I spent a lot of time on this couch: reading, eating, playing video games, and hosting. It’s where life happens.

In Vijay Varma’s house, objects hold memory and meaning

Vijay’s home is full of sentimental objects, many of which have a story attached to them. From a snake prop from his debut movie Chittagong, to a Bruce Lee poster because his character in Jaane Jaan was obssessed with him, to a framed wedding photo with Alia Bhatt from Darlings, each item reflects a part of his career and personality. Comics by Neil Gaiman, artworks inspired by Wong Kar-wai, and vintage books further hint at the actor’s artistic preferences.

Nature is an integral part of Vijay Varma’s home

Nature has a silent but constant presence at Vijay’s place. Leaf-inspired furniture, plants, and natural light are all taken care of in his place. Vijay had expressed his love for plants and how they calm him down. The Josmo console, mimicking monstera leaves, adds a botanical sculptural element to the place. Even the overall colour palette reflects earth, with its subtle browns, greens, and creams.

Vijay Varma’s is a home of emotional contrast

What makes Vijay’s home compelling is its emotional honesty. While it’s full of beauty, it doesn’t try to impress. Instead, it invites you to feel and calm down. It is a quiet marvel in itself. It’s not your typical celebrity showroom type place that is filled with high-end sculptures. Instead, it’s a sanctuary that holds memories, inspires creativity, and reveals his most authentic self. With a deep respect for design, texture, and story, this home feels as layered as the characters he plays, complex, emotional, and unmistakably human.

Vijay’s house allows his fan to have a deeper look inside the mind and heart of the actor. What are your thoughts about Vijay Varma’s place?
