Rajinikanth’s youngest daughter, Soundarya Rajinikanth, expressed her delight after watching her megastar father’s film, Coolie. She penned an appreciation post for her father and heaped praises on his acting journey in the last 50 years, and still has the calibre to make the audience go crazy.

On August 14, 2025, Rajinikanth’s younger daughter, Soundarya, took to her Instagram handle and posted a couple of pictures. In the first photo, she was enjoying the movie’s screening and having a great time. The next photo was a poster of the film, and in the third picture, we can see Rajinikanth’s look in the film.
Along with the post, Soundarya congratulated her father for completing 50 glorious years in the film industry, and how he had shaped, redefined, and elevated it. She mentioned how he has inspired generations and wrote:
“50 years, Appa. You haven’t just been part of cinema … you’ve shaped it, redefined it, elevated it, and carried it into places it had never been before. You’ve inspired generations, set benchmarks, and become the heartbeat of the industry.”
She further called herself a proud daughter and said how much she loves him. She added that she will watch the last 10 minutes of Coolie’s flashback again and again, cheering her father every single time. She concluded her note by writing:
“I’m a proud daughter, and I love you more than I can ever say…The last 10 minutes flashback of Coolie — I’ll watch again and again, and keep cheering every single time. You’re the best, Appa. The one and only. Thalaivar Nirandharam.”
Soon, netizens reacted and showered love on Rajinikanth’s work in Coolie. One user wrote, “This is surely one of the most iconic moments of world cinema. Being in the profession for 50 years and staying at the top for over 40 years is an incredible accomplishment. Which very few can achieve. Even after 50 years, we as fans are still waiting to witness him on screen, and his charisma is still the same. It’s a treat to watch him on and off screen.” A second one commented, “Love u my Thalaivaaa… Thalaivar 50 year’s Energy COOLIE Movie Sema Acting.”
Rajinikanth has charged a whopping amount for Coolie
It is worth mentioning that Rajinikanth is the highest-paid actor in the film. According to the buzz, he has charged over Rs. 260 crore to Rs. 280 crore. It has turned him into Asia’s most expensive actor. The fee is even higher than the likes of Jackie Chan and Aamir Khan. Regarding the film’s budget, it was made with a budget of Rs. 400 crore, making it the costliest film ever made in Indian cinema. The director is being paid Rs. 60 crore.
