    Wedding bells will soon ring in Indian cricketing legend, Sachin Tendulkar’s home, because the latest news reports suggest his son, Arjun Tendulkar, recently got engaged. Yes, the 25-year-old budding cricketer who prefers to keep his personal life low-key has reportedly exchanged rings with popular business tycoon, Ravi Ghai’s granddaughter, Saaniya Chandok. Here’s everything you must know about the new couple and their engagement. 

    Arjun Tendulkar gets engaged to Saaniya Chandok 

    Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, is now officially engaged. According to India Today and Hello Magazine, the 25-year-old left-arm fast-bowling all-rounder said ‘yes’ to a future with Saaniya Chandok, granddaughter of prominent Mumbai businessman Ravi Ghai, that has marked the union of two influential Mumbai families. However, there is no official confirmation from either family.

    The engagement was held as a private affair that brought together close family and friends from both sides. While everyone knows about the Tendulkar family, the Ghai family has a major name in the world of hospitality and the food industry. They own the prestigious InterContinental Hotel and the popular ice cream brand, Brooklyn Creamery. The engagement event was kept under wraps, and no official photos have been released.

    Who is Saaniya Chandok?

    Saaniya Chandok, who hails from a high-profile business family and is known for keeping a low public profile, just like Arjun. But, she is more than just being the granddaughter of Ravi Ghai and an heiress. According to her Instagram handle, she is the founder of Mr. PAWS, a pet skincare and spa brand. Also, the brand page reveals that she is a certified veterinary technician, having completed the ABC programme from WVS. Saaniya holds a deep passion for animal welfare and entrepreneurship.

    More about Arjun Tendulkar

    Arjun Tendulkar was born in 1999 to legendary Indian batsman, Sachin and his wife, Dr. Anjali Tendulkar. Arjun grew up in Mumbai alongside his elder sister, Sara Tendulkar. He attended Dhirubhai Ambani International School before stepping onto the cricketing path to follow in his father’s footsteps. Arjun made his under-19 debut for India against Sri Lanka in 2018 and later made his T20 debut for Mumbai in the 2020–21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The young cricketer soon joined the Mumbai Indians in the IPL and made his debut in April 2023. In domestic cricket, Arjun currently represents Goa, and in 2022, he scored his maiden first-class century against Rajasthan in the Ranji Trophy.
