Regina King Brings a Croc-embossed Lift to Her ‘Good Morning America’ Look in Giuseppe Zanotti’s Intriigo Mule

Regina King brought a textured lift to “Good Morning America” on Tuesday, opting for one of the summer’s most popular silhouettes with Giuseppe Zanotti’s Intriigo mules.

Made in Italy, the style is cut in beige leather with a discreet crocodile embossing that runs across the vamp and heel. A single strap frames a pointed peep toe, set above a 90 mm stiletto wrapped in the same finish. The beige colorway is sold out, though Zanotti still carries the design in blue and fuchsia through its Out Season platform.

The Intriigo has been making the rounds this year. Leslie Bibb wore the black leather version with a sheer Hermès dress in May, while Taraji P. Henson chose gold patent for the Cannes red carpet. Across finishes, its narrow heel and minimal construction make it a reliable counter to both daywear and formal silhouettes.

King paired the mules with a sleeveless PH5 knit dress in pink-and-cream check. The fitted cut broke into an asymmetric wavy hem — one of the label’s signatures — and she kept the accessories soft with a blush leather tote. Minimal jewelry let the focus stay on the knit’s texture and the shoes’ embossed finish.

Her choice also falls neatly into this summer’s wave of white and off-white footwear, particularly mules. Nicole Scherzinger’s Gianvito Rossi stilettos, Brooks Nader’s sculpted Jude mules at Wimbledon and Henson’s Kate Spade floral mule all leaned on the same tonal strategy: grounding bolder colors or patterns with a clean, pale base. Whether in satin, croc embossing or smooth leather, the palette has become a seasonal default.

Wednesday’s “Good Morning America” stop was part of King’s press run for “Caught Stealing,” Darren Aronofsky’s crime thriller set in 1990s New York. The film follows Hank Thompson (Austin Butler), a former high school baseball phenom turned bartender who’s pulled into the city’s criminal underworld after a simple favor goes wrong. King plays Roman, joining a cast that includes Zoë Kravitz, Matt Smith, Liev Schreiber, Vincent D’Onofrio, Bad Bunny and Carol Kane. The film is set for release Aug. 29.
