Poco has launched a new smartphone in India today. It is called the Poco M7 Plus. It has two big USPs: big screen and big battery. Given that it is priced under Rs 15,000, the package looks decent enough albeit a bit confusing, with the Poco M7 Pro in close proximity. Technically, it slots below it. There is also a Poco M7, which is even more affordable – the entry-point into the Poco’s expansive M7-series some might say.

The Poco M7 Plus comes in a choice of 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB. The former is priced at Rs 13,999, the latter at Rs 14,999.

Poco M7 Plus full specs and features
The Poco M7 Plus has a 6.9-inch display with a 1080p resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. Poco doesn’t specify the protection, and the panel is most likely, an IPS LCD. It can top 850 nits in high brightness mode while typically it can go as high as only 700 nits.
Powering the Poco M7 Plus is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor which is paired to up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS2.2 storage. Running the show is Xiaomi HyperOS software based on Android 15. Poco is committing to two major OS and up to four years of security updates.
Fuelling the Poco M7 Plus is a large 7,000mAh battery which uses Silicon-Carbon technology to pack high density inside a relatively slim and lightweight package: the Poco M7 Plus to that effect comes in at 217 grams and measures only 8.40mm. The phone supports 33W fast charging and 18W reverse charging.
For photography, the Poco M7 Plus has a 50-megapixel primary camera on the back and an 8-megapixel selfie camera – both record up to 1080p@30fps videos.
The Poco M7 Plus has a chassis made of plastic and comes in three colours: Chrome Silver, Aqua Blue and Carbon Black. It is rated IP64 for dust and water resistance. It has a single speaker and side-mounted fingerprint reader for biometrics. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.1.
Poco M7 Plus availability, launch offers
The Poco M7 Plus will go on sale starting August 19. It will be available exclusively on Flipkart. Launch offers include instant bank discount of Rs 1,000 using HDFC, SBI, or ICICI Bank cards or an additional Rs 1,000 exchange bonus on eligible devices.
