Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif asserted that Pakistan will not let India take “even a single drop” of its water, amid escalating tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbours after India suspended the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty. The decades-old treaty, which governs the sharing of Indus River waters, was put “in abeyance” by India following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives.
