The Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr. film with Ayan Mukerji is finally showing some strength in advance booking in Hindi. After a rather average run in advance booking, the film has finally shown growth with healthy results in hourly sales. With over 1 and a half days still to go, War 2 has sold approximately 60,000 tickets across the top 3 national chains, and is expected to cross the 1 lakh mark by the end of this day.

The advance bookings are nowhere close to expectations, but this spike in ticket sales keeps War 2 in the race to have a shot at the final advance booking of Saiyaara, Chhaava, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and Singham Again. Feature films like Tiger 3, Brahmastra, Animal, KGF 2, Jawan, and Pathaan are out of the league for this Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr. film.

To everyone’s shock, the final advances of War 2 will also be lower than War 1, a scenario which no one could have imagined. The experts pegged the first day of War 2 at Rs. 50 to 60 crores, but now the film is headed for a start of Rs. 35 crores in Hindi, unless there is a change of tide in the next two days.

There is a big Independence Day holiday, so War 2 will be hoping to see big jumps on Friday based on strong audience word of mouth to make up for the loss of business on Day 1.
