Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara, which hit theatres on July 18, is now gearing up for its OTT debut. The romantic drama, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, made a strong box office impact and sparked a frenzy both in cinemas and on social media. It is slated to premiere on Netflix on September 12.
Yash Raj Films is yet to make an official announcement about ‘Saiyaara’ OTT release, an Instagram story reposted by the film’s casting director, Shanoo Sharma, hints that the film will premiere on the mentioned date on Netflix. The makers and the OTT platform are expected to confirm the date soon.
Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films, ‘Saiyaara’ has broken box office records and has become the highest-earning romantic film in Indian cinema history, grossing over Rs 500 crore worldwide and Rs 320 crore in India. It marks the acting debut of Ahaan, nephew of Chunky Panday and cousin to Ananya Panday, while Aneet, previously seen in ‘Salaam Venky’ and Prime Video series ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’, takes on her first lead role in a feature film.
