Blind boxes are all the rage, and everyone is catching on — including Disney.

Disney recently launched a slew of blind boxes, or what the company has dubbed “mystery boxes,” depicting some of its most beloved characters and attractions. The novelty combines all the whimsy of little tchotchkes — a la Sonny Angels or Calico Critters — with mystery and chance. It’s that moment of pause where you hold your breath upon opening, hoping to snag the figure you’ve been hoping for on the back of the box.

In general, blind boxes feed a desire to create a collection, of cherishing little objects that harken back to our days as carefree children. The Labubu has made major noise in the blind-box community. The figure, created by Hong Kong-born artist Kasing Lung, rose to fame with help from none other than BLACKPINK’s Lisa. The K-pop star clipped one onto her Louis Vuitton bag, showing her love for the fuzzy little character, and the rest is history. Labubus can be displayed or clipped onto bags and keychains, utilized as an accessory that falls in line with the maximalist bag charm trend that goes hand-in-hand with blind boxes.

Similar to the previous mystery model, this Disney Lacers Mystery Vinyl Collectible is made of sculpted PVC. While the last offering was inspired by Disney’s most iconic rides, these shoe models depict some of Disney’s most wicked villains.
