Doechii kept her festival footwear sharp on day one of Outside Lands, performing in Miu Miu’s brushed leather penny loafers with the brand’s ribbed grey crew socks.
The loafers, cut in polished black leather, featured a rounded toe, tonal topstitching and a saddle strap finished with Miu Miu’s gold-embossed logo plate. A low stacked heel and slim rubber sole kept the profile sleek, while the socks — vertically ribbed with the logo placed just below the cuff — gave the combination a preppy, uniform-leaning edge.

Her outfit kept to that theme. A cropped navy zip-front jacket layered over a light blue button-down with a white collar, styled above a matching pleated miniskirt. A plaid waistband detail peeked out at the midriff, breaking the monochrome with a flash of pattern. Minimal jewelry and sleek hair left the structure of the look intact.

Socks have become a consistent part of Doechii’s shoe play this year. In late May, she paired knee-high socks with pointed slingbacks for a performance at Hudson Yards — a “professorial” twist on the slingback trend. Earlier in the month, she wore burgundy mid-calf socks with platform Mary Janes at the Met Gala, matching a monogrammed Louis Vuitton suit.
The Miu Miu penny loafer has been having its own run this year. Barbara Palvin wore them to Cannes in June with tailored white shorts and a trucker jacket from the brand. The style is a direct descendant of the midcentury prep staple — the one students used to tuck coins into for luck — reworked by Miu Miu in supple leather and finished with that gold logo plate.

At Outside Lands, where boots and sneakers dominate for their practicality, Doechii’s loafers read as a counterpoint — polished, brand-forward and grounded in the same stage-ready confidence that’s shaped her other festival looks.
Outside Lands opened its three-day run in Golden Gate Park on August 8, with Tyler, the Creator, Doja Cat and Hozier headlining a 110-plus artist lineup. Day 1 moved between big-stage spectacle and smaller-set precision, from Thundercat’s bass-driven sprawl to Role Model’s pared-down pop — and Doechii’s uniform-coded turn in the middle of it.
