Good things always come to those who wait, and a similar situation took place with the fans of Wednesday, who got a treat with the first four episodes of Wednesday season 2. The moment has come after a long wait of three years, when the gothic corridors of Nevermore Academy got to see the familiar old faces with new entrants. #1. Steve Buscemi arrives as ‘Principal Barry Dort’
Emmy-winning actor Steve Buscemi has joined the show as Nevermore’s eccentric new head, ‘Principal Barry Dort’. Wednesday co-runner, Miles Millar, had earlier described that he would be a complete contrast to the late ‘Principal Weems’. He is fiercely devoted to the school and is set to bring twists to the Academy. Earlier in a conversation with PEOPLE, the actor had described the protagonist, Jenna Ortega, as a “sharp, funny, and wonderful scene partner.”
#2. Billie Piper steps in as ‘Isadora Capri’
Popular British actress and former pop star, Billie Piper, has also made a place as ‘Isadora Capri’ in Nevermore Academy. She has an intense personality and serves as the mysterious new head of music. According to Tudum, she was a child prodigy herself and puts extra focus on ‘Wednesday’s hidden musical talent. In an interview with Radio Times, Billie confirmed that she was taking inspiration from her teenage stardom to play the role.
#3. Evie Templeton debuts as ‘Agnes DeMille’
Another newcomer and fan of ‘Wednesday Addams’, Evie Templeton, makes her debut as ‘Agnes DeMille’. She is a young and wide-eyed student who idolizes Wednesday. In an interview with Teen Vogue, Evie said it was easy to play ‘Wednesday’s admirer because Jenna is ‘such a wonderful person.’ Their budding on-screen friendship is heart-touching and would surely unfold more mysteries in the future.
#4. Christopher Lloyd comes back as ‘Professor Orloff’
Life has come full circle for Christopher Lloyd as he returns to the Addams Universe as a new ‘Professor Orloff’. He is shown as a stern and long-serving Nevermore teacher who keeps a close eye on mischief-makers. For those unaware, Christopher had earlier played ‘Uncle Fester’ in the 1990s Addams Family films. During her conversation with Good Morning America, Jenna admitted that she was ‘starstruck’ by Christopher.
#5. Lady Gaga to charm as ‘Rosaline Rotwood’
One of the most talked-about additions is Lady Gaga, who joined in a guest role as Rosaline Rotwood, a mysterious Nevermore instructor arriving later in the season. Her casting was announced in dramatic fashion during the 2025 Tudum event, where Gaga emerged from a coffin to perform a medley including ‘Bloody Mary,’ which went viral in Season 1.
6. Joanna Lumley portrays ‘Grandmama Hester Frump’
Dame Joanna Lumley steps in as Morticia’s powerful mother, ‘Grandmama Hester Frump. Hester, who runs Frump Mortuaries and brings tension and laughter into the Addams family triangle. Lumley told What to Watch that Hester has “huge abilities” and an ability to stir the pot.
7. Owen Painter arrives as ‘Slurp’
Newcomer Owen Painter plays ‘Slurp’, a zombie-like figure mysteriously tied to Nevermore’s shadowy past. He is described on the official Wednesday Instagram as “a reanimated corpse.” Slurp becomes entangled in this season’s central mystery.
#8. Haley Joel Osment turns up as ‘The Kansas City Scalper’
Haley Joel Osment plays the season’s chilling new villain. A serial killer obsessed with dolls and hair. Named the ‘Kansas City Scalper’, he appears in the opening moments of the season. Gough told Tudum the character was ‘a beauty school dropout turned murderer,’ making Haley’s presence both nostalgic and terrifying.
