Upload‘s final season is upon us as we gear up for the show’s latest chapter at Prime Video, and the stars were on site at the TV Insider and TV Guide Magazine studio at San Diego Comic-Con to tease what’s next.
Robbie Amell, who plays protagonist Nathan Brown, was joined on the studio couch by costars Allegra Edwards (Ingrid), Andy Allo (Nathan’s “angel” Nora), and Kevin Bigley (lovable Luke) as they get ready for fans to experience the last four episodes of the series when they drop on Prime Video beginning Monday, August 25.
For those who don’t know, the comedy hailing from creator Greg Daniels (The Office) follows Nathan, a man who finds himself “uploaded” to a digital afterlife following an accident.
In Season 3, there was double the Nathan after a copy of him remained at Lakeview, the digital afterlife landscape he’d been dropped into, as a physical version of him operated in the real world after being downloaded into a body from Lakeview. But by the end of the season, one Nathan had been destroyed. The big question was, which one?

When asked this question, of which Nathan remains, Lakeview Nathan or physically-present Nathan, Amell wouldn’t say. “That’s a great question,” before he jokingly deferred to his costar Bigley. Ultimately, Amell teased, “Well, one’s dead and one’s getting married.” In an effort to elaborate further, Amell added, “We will have a wedding of some kind in the final season… I think.”
Along with Season 3’s two Nathans were two romances: the show’s ongoing love story between Nathan and Nora, which began to form in Season 1 and became a real thing when Nathan’s consciousness was downloaded into a real body, while the digital copy of Nathan in Lakeview had fallen in love with Ingrid. In other words, this isn’t just a question of which Nathan survived. It’s also a question of who is getting married.
The stars tease that, along with heartbreak and much more, for the final season in the full video interview. Watch it above, and don’t miss Upload‘s return to TV later this summer.
