Three members of the same family were murdered in Sahibganj district of Jharkhand on Wednesday. The victims were beaten to death with iron rods over a land dispute. The accused, Bajjal Hembram, a relative and neighbour of the victims, later surrendered at the Taljhari police station.
The deceased have been identified as Noha Besra, his daughter Badki Murmu, and son-in-law Nathaniel Hansda. According to police, Bajjal Hembram first attacked and killed Noha Besra. He then targeted Badki Murmu and Nathaniel Hansda, killing them one after the other.
Upon receiving information, Rajmahal DSP Vimlesh Kumar Tripathi and Taljhari police station in-charge Nitish Kumar Pandey rushed to the scene. Sahibganj SP Amit Kumar Singh also confirmed the incident.
When the police arrived, they found the three bodies lying in different locations—one in the courtyard, another on the road, and the third inside the house. A large crowd of villagers had gathered at the scene as news of the incident spread, creating an atmosphere of fear and tension in the area.
