Ridhi Dogra first made a name for herself in the Indian TV industry through her strong female lead roles, which gave a fresh take to the viewers, different from the everyday ideal bahu roles. Then she went on to make a name for herself in Bollywood as well and shared screens with superstars like Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in Tiger 3 and Jawan, respectively. However, Ridhi, who is known for portraying strong female characters, recently revealed a time in her real life when she put herself down for love.
Ridhi Dogra regrets putting her self-worth and self-respect down when she was in love
Ridhi Dogra, who was once married to her co-star, Raqesh Bapat, was recently asked in an interview with Instant Bollywood, what was the craziest thing she did in the name of love. The actress replied that she did a ‘crazy bad’ thing and revealed that she put herself down and her self-worth when she was in love. Ridhi also further mentioned that no one should ever do it. In the interview, the actress was quoted as saying:
“Apne baare mai, apni self respect k baare mai fikr na kar k, maine beintah pyaar kiya. So I think that’s the craziest thing I did for love. Jo kisi ko v nahi karna chahiye. Because it’s a downslide.”

When the host stated that many people think that it is love, Ridhi repeatedly advised against it, saying, “Ye pyaar nahi hai”. Then she explained that after letting go of one’s self-respect, they will be filled with thoughts questioning their own identity. The actress said not to go ‘down this road’ and shared:
“Ye pyaar nahi hai. Please apne self-worth, self-respect ki dhajjiyan mat udayi. Because in return you will be left with the feeling of ‘Mai kaun hu’?”

Ridhi Dogra and Raqesh Bapat had met and fallen in love on the sets of their show, Maryada and tied the knot in 2011. The two were one of the most beloved couples of the TV industry.
