Amitabh Bachchan has begun filming the 17th season of the iconic quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. Sharing an update from the sets on social media, the veteran actor called it a “new opportunity.” He has been the face of the show since its inception in 2000.

Season 17 of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ is set to premiere on August 11 this year and will air Monday to Friday at 9 PM on Sony Entertainment Television and SonyLIV. Audiences can look forward to watching everyday individuals test their knowledge, share inspiring stories, and compete for transformative rewards.
The sheer volume of contestants over the years reflects the enduring popularity of ‘KBC’. It also highlights how the show has empowered the common man, proving that knowledge and presence of mind can truly transform lives.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Bachchan was last seen in Rajinikanth’s film ‘Vettaiyan’, which also starred Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, and Ritika Singh. The movie hit theatres in October last year. He will next be seen in Ribhu Dasgupta’s ‘Section 84’, alongside Diana Penty and Nimrat Kaur.
