Farhan Akhtar, Raashii Khanna, Ritesh Sidhwani, director Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai and others attended the launch of the teaser of 120 Bahadur at a multiplex in central Mumbai. The event was also graced by actors who played the Charlie company jawans in the film, that is, Sparsh Walia, Vivan Bhathena, Dhanveer Singh, Digvijay Pratap, Sahib Verma, Ankit Siwach, Devendra Ahirwar, Ashutosh Shukla, Brijesh Karanwal and Atul Singh. Eijaz Khan, who plays the commanding officer and Ajinkya Ramesh Deo, who essays the Brigade Commander, also made their presence felt.

Farhan Akhtar, who plays the role of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati in this war film, said, “I hope that this film inspires more writers, more filmmakers, more directors to look into our glorious past of all kinds. We have incredible moments of bravery, courage and decisions taken in face of tremendous adversity that now make us who we are and make us the country that we are today. So, hopefully people will search for these diamonds that are hidden in the ashes of time.”
A journalist asked Farhan Akhtar about his views on the box office. He said, “The love of the audience does matter. I think the most quantifiable way to put it is the box office number. What you want is for people to come in and love your film. That’s what’s really important and that’s what I am focused on. I have always believed that for every film that I have done until now, the box office numbers are honestly more for the entertainment of the public than it is for people who are making the film!”
Interestingly, the teaser of 120 Bahadur was launched in an IMAX screen. This writer asked Ritesh Sidhwani whether 120 Bahadur would be an IMAX release. The filmmaker replied, “We are hoping. We have to check with Anil Thadani sitting here. He has to decide.”
The distributor was seated in the auditorium. Ritesh asked him, “Anil, are we going to go in IMAX?” After a few seconds, Ritesh informed, “So, he has put his thumb up!”
120 Bahadur releases in cinemas on November 21, 2025. It would be the second IMAX release for Excel Entertainment. Their first IMAX film was the Akshay Kumar-starrer Gold (2018).
