Actor Tamannaah Bhatia, in an exclusive interview with The Lallantop, addressed a peculiar rumour about her being married to former Pakistani cricketer Abdul Razzaq, that made headlines in 2020. Speaking candidly, she expressed her amusement and embarrassment over the situation, highlighting the absurdity of the claim.

Tamannaah recalled an encounter with Abdul Razzaq at a jewellery store opening, which seems to have fuelled the baseless speculation. She humorously apologised, saying, “Mazaak mazaak mein Abdul Razzaq! The Internet is a fun place. According to the internet, I was briefly married to Abdul Razzaq. I’m sorry sir. Aapke dho teen bachche hai (You have 2-3children). I don’t know about your life, but it was so embarrassing.”

Not just Abdul Razzaq, Tamannaah was also linked her with cricketer Virat Kohli. Addressing the rumours, she said, “I feel so bad because I literally met him only once. I have never met Virat after that.”

The actor shared her discomfort with media links that have no basis in reality. “It is very awkward when the media links you to someone you have absolutely no connection with,” Tamannaah stated, acknowledging the lack of control over such narratives.

She also conveyed how time has helped her deal with these challenges. “It takes time, but one finally accepts that there’s nothing one can do about it,” she remarked.

Despite the occasional absurdity, Tamannaah maintains an awareness of public perception. “As an actor, it’s important to be aware of what the audience think about your work,” she noted, underlining the significance of public opinion in her profession.

Tamannaah revealed a practical approach to staying informed about her public image. “I keep googling myself from time to time,” she admitted, which aids her in gauging audience reactions and staying updated with any circulating rumours.

The actor stressed the importance of audience reception in her work. “If you are not doing movies for yourself, you need to know if they like it or not,” she explained.

Ultimately, Tamannaah believes in the deeper value of her craft. “It has to have some impact and meaning in someone’s life,” she concluded, reflecting on the purpose of her artistic contributions beyond mere entertainment.
