The 44-year-old Justin initially thought that the fatigue and pain he was experiencing were nothing but age-related issues. But when his health condition worsened, something serious was taking a toll on him. Often the singer used to feel nerve pain on stage during his performances, but he kept it all to himself until the situation got out of his hands. Speaking to People, a family source said:
“He’s not 20 anymore. But when his symptoms worsened, he realised something deeper was going on. He pushed through for months before finally getting answers. The Lyme disease diagnosis brought clarity to a series of unexplained issues that he’s been quietly dealing with.”

Although Justin tried to hide and keep everything by himself, his condition didn’t go unnoticed by his beloved wife, Jessica Biel. She was the one who encouraged the Grammy award-winning singer to go for a health checkup. Not only did she encourage her husband, but she also became his pillar of strength during the tough phase. Speaking to People, the source said:
“She felt like something was off with her husband’s health and encouraged him to get checked out. She could tell that he wasn’t himself. She’s incredibly supportive.”
When Justin Timberlake revealed that he had been diagnosed with Lyme disease
On July 31, 2025, Justin took to his Instagram handle and shared some unseen pictures from his two-year Forget Tomorrow World Tour. However, it was a heartfelt note that shocked his fans. In the note, the American singer and actor revealed that he has been diagnosed with Lyme disease. He also shared how much tiring the health scare became, draining a person both mentally and physically. An excerpt from his long note can be read as:
“I’ve been battling some health issues, and was diagnosed with Lyme disease– which I don’t say so you feel bad for me– but to shed some light on what I’ve been up against behind the scenes. If you’ve experienced this disease or know someone who has, then you’re aware: living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically. When I first got the diagnosis, I was shocked for sure. But, at least I could understand why I would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or, just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness.”
