Sitaare Zameen Par was released on June 20, 2025, and it instantly carved a special place in the hearts of cinephiles. For the unversed, Sitaare Zameen Par is the sequel of the movie, Taare Zameen Par. If the reports are to be believed, Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par grossed Rs. 195 crore in India, and Rs. 256 crore worldwide. The movie has featured a wide range of disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down Syndrome, Dyslexia, Speech and motor impairments and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). One of the actors was Rishabh Jain, who played the role of ‘Raju’ in the movie, i.e. the team’s jokester and gardener, whose humour leaves his teammates feeling light-hearted.
While introducing him to the world, Aamir Khan’s production house, said in a post that Rishabh is the lead of the movie, as he shared the screen with Aamir. Rishabh was born in 1995 in Mumbai, and is currently 28 years old. He has been suffering from Fragile X syndrome since his childhood. For the unversed, in this Fragile X syndrome brain develops slowly. It’s a genetic condition and brings along several developmental issues such as learning disabilities, cognitive delays and behavioural challenges.

Well, Rishabh’s journey to become ‘Raju’ in Sitaare Zameen Par has been amazing. He, through his character in the movie, made people fall in love with the fact that even with FXS, he did an excellent job of essaying his role. Talking about his role in the movie, his mother, during the screening of the movie, said that his journey of growing a beard for the film defines his progression, and thus, whenever he grows a beard, he becomes ‘Raju’, and the rest of the time, he remains Rishabh. She also revealed that her son adapted the character very quickly.

According to Wikiquote, Rishabh Jain is also a professional baker, having worked for 5 years in a cafe. Reportedly, he has been entertaining his family members since the age of 7. Rishabh loves mimicking, and from Shah Rukh Khan to Ranbir Kapoor, he often mimics many famous actors. Since childhood, Rishabh wanted to be a comedian, and his family members never stopped him from pursuing his passion, even though he had FXS.
Rishabh Jain’s family never let the difficulty become Rishabh’s weakness, and since childhood, he has been in dancing and acting classes, which eventually developed his skills. In an interview, Rishabh expressed his love and admiration for ‘Mr. Bean’, and revealed that he always wanted to be like him. Reportedly, like his on-screen role, he also liked gardening and runs a plant nursery as well.
