However, 3,223 persons have applied for fresh enrolment by filling up and submitting Form 6 along with mandatory declaration on citizenship during the same duration.ECI said it has “launched a dedicated campaign in a parallel effort to boost voter registration among the youth, targeting young electors turning 18 between 1 July and 1 October 2025,” The special intensive review, conducted following the completion of the enumeration phase, aims to ensure the accuracy and credibility of the electoral rolls in Bihar. The process allows political parties to scrutinize the draft rolls and file claims or objections, if any, concerning voter inclusion or exclusion. The recently published draft electoral rolls covering over 90,000 polling booths across 243 assembly constituencies, continues to be under close scrutiny by the opposition as the election date approaches. The election commission in the statement has praised the proactive engagement, stating that the robust response from young electors is a positive indicator for democratic participation in Bihar. Special camps have also been established across the state to facilitate easy registration and verification for all eligible voters, running daily until 1 September. The commission reiterated its commitment to conducting free and fair elections and encouraged all electors to verify their details and submit updated photographs to their booth level officers (BLOs) ahead of the issuance of new identity cards. The poll body has urged all political parties and voters to maintain vigilance and participate actively to uphold the integrity of the electoral rolls and ensure inclusive representation.
