Kim Cattrall seemingly responded to the abrupt cancellation of “And Just Like That” with a cryptic message Friday.

The actress, 68, shared a photo of a colorful sunset over a body of water, and captioned it with the following message: “It’s the end of a very long week ❤️💋.”

Fans in the comments thread quickly assumed it was Cattrall reacting to the news — despite her being mostly absent from the “Sex and the City” sequel series.

“Kim, we need a fabulous new series just for you. Real ones knew 😍,” wrote a follower, while another remarked, “If you know, you know…”

“You are, as always 🔥❤️ samantha Jones FOR EVER,” wrote a third, referring to her memorable “Sex and the City” character. A fourth chimed in, “Let that sun finally set.”

A rep for Cattrall did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.

Hours before Cattrall took to Instagram, “And Just Like That” showrunner Michael Patrick King announced the HBO Max series will end after three seasons.

In the statement, King wrote that the “ongoing storytelling of the ‘Sex and the City’ universe is coming to an end,” adding that it “became clear” to him while writing the final episodes of season 3 that it might be “a wonderful place to stop.”

King explained that he “held off announcing the news until now because we didn’t want the word ‘final’ to overshadow the fun of watching the season.”

“It’s with great gratitude that we thank all the viewers who have let these characters into their homes and their hearts over these many years,” he concluded the statement.

“And Just Like That” — named after a refrain commonly uttered by lead character Carrie Bradshaw (played by Sarah Jessica Parker, 60) — was the follow-up to HBO’s popular and influential series.

“Sex and the City,” which ran on the cable network from 1998 to 2004 before continuing with two follow-up movies in 2008 and 2010, co-starred Cattrall as Samantha Jones, Cynthia Nixon as Miranda Hobbes and Kristin Davis as Charlotte York.

“And Just Like That” premiered in 2021 and has endured widespread criticism since its inception. Cattrall was noticeably absent from the new series, only appearing in a brief cameo at the conclusion of Season 2.

On Friday, Parker took to her own Instagram to make sense of the news with a montage reel of Carrie Bradshaw moments alongside a poem about the New York City columnist’s journey.

Carrie “changed homes, time zones, boyfriends, her mind, her shoes, her hair, but never her love and devotion to New York City,” Parker wrote in the caption.

“I am better for every single day I spent with you,” she concluded the post to her fans. “It will be forever before I forget. The whole thing. Thank you all. I love you so. I hope you love these final two episodes as much as we all do.”

“It has been such a delight from start to finish,” Nixon also wrote in an Instagram post Friday, while Davis said she is “profoundly sad” about the show’s cancellation.
