A one-year-old child sustained minor injuries after falling from a moving private bus when the driver applied a sudden brake near Meenakshipuram village.

The incident occurred on a bus traveling from Madurai to Srivilliputhur, jolting several passengers and causing a brief moment of panic.

According to the officials, the infant was travelling with his mother, elder brother and uncle, Madhan Kumar, a resident of Muthulingapuram near Srivilliputhur.

The mother was holding her one-year-old son, while the two-year-old was seated next to Madhan Kumar near the entrance of the bus.

Surveillance footage from inside the vehicle shows the abrupt stop caused the woman to lose her grip on the child, who then tumbled out of the bus.

A passerby, an elderly man standing roadside, acted swiftly and rushed to the baby’s aid. The incident took place on July 31.

Meanwhile, Madhan Kumar and his elder nephew fell inside the bus due to the impact. Kumar reportedly sustained facial injuries in the fall. Both children were unharmed apart from minor injuries and bruises.
